After a rocky end to 2019, TOWIE bombshell Clelia Theodorou came back with a bang! Model and influencer, Clelia added reality TV star to her resume just two years ago when she joined the cast of The Only Way is Essex.

We caught up with Clelia to discuss life after lock-down and bouncing back from a low point.

Hi Clelia! How is quarantine life treating you?

Hello 🙂 We’ve been in isolation around 7 weeks and like most people there have been ups and downs. It’s definitely tough and I’ve definitely had my days where it’s proved difficult but ultimately staying home is saving lives and that’s what I’ve tried to remember every time I have a bad day.

What have you been up to keep busy during lock-down?

Well, I moved right before lock-down so I’ve been trying my best to get the new place in order and decorated with the things we have already. We’ve been gardening which has definitely been a long process so that’s taken up a lot of time.

I’ve had days like everyone else, where I’ve binge watched TV shows and eaten all the chocolate, but for the most part we’ve been unpacking and spending a lot of time on furniture websites deciding what we’d like in the new places once lockdown is over.

Although the filming of TOWIE is now postponed, can you tell us a little bit about what is set to happen in the new series?

Such a shame as we were all so excited to be back filming! But as much as I’d love to spill the tea, you’ll just have to tune into the next series to see what we’ve all been up to, I’m sure there will be more drama and laughs than ever!

How would you say your experience on TOWIE has been over the last 2 years?

I would say the cliché of an emotional rollercoaster? Haha. It’s been crazy, so many amazing fun times and memories made. I think in the short amount of time I’ve been doing it I’ve had so much happen and experienced a lot and I’m so excited to experience more! Thankful for all the friends I’ve made along the way too.

How has it been working with Love Island’s Olivia Attwood? Did you know Olivia before filming began?

Yes we knew each other before. Working with Olivia is so much fun, as you all know she’s a wild one and always making everyone cry with laughter but having her on TOWIE has been so amazing, she has my back and is such a supportive friend.

You had a rocky end to 2019 and started fresh in 2020, what helped you bounce back from a low point?

Well I think spending time in Devon with my family and close friends was exactly what I needed. I was able to take a bit of time out in a different location so that helped a lot. Getting out of a low point is so so so hard but I had incredible friends and family around me.

What advice would you give to anyone feeling low?

It’s hard because different things work for different people but personally, I would say staying active, even if you don’t feel like it… a long walk really helps. Fresh air and a clear mind.

Talk to your friends and family or anyone who you feel you can open up to, sometimes just talking about things out loud really does help because you feel like you’ve got it all off your chest.

Are you working on any brand collabs at the moment?

I’ve got a couple of exciting collaborations coming up. They are on hold at the moment due to the current situation and I want to make sure I’m working with the right brands at the right time, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of 2020 brings!

We absolutely love your sleek style! Who would you say is your style icon?

Ah well thank you, I’m so plain! I don’t have a specific icon, but I love classic fashion, elegance. Blazers, suits and outfits that compliment my body shape but are also classy.

What is the first thing you want to do when the restrictions are lifted?

Go out with my friends! I cannot wait to just go out, dance and have a drink! I’m looking forward to going to a restaurant that’s one of the first things I want to do.
